ARAW'S GLOBALLY INSPIRED ICE CREAM BAR
Keziah Manluctao left her desk job during the pandemic and started making ice cream in her kitchen, mixing nostalgic Filipino flavours she couldn't find anywhere else in London. Araw (the Filipino word for ‘sun’ or ‘day’) launched in 2021, and joined our line up at Borough Yards in April - opening to queues down the street.
The store's bold, vibrant design reflects the menu inside: Ube Halaya, Mango Sticky Rice, Basque Cheesecake, Aztec Chocolate - served as individual scoops, on a tasting flight, or as an ice cream sandwich, alongside a drinks range that's just as inventive. Globally inspired, loud by design, and exactly the kind of space that content creators have been making an intentional trip for.
