Over the next three years, we’ll be working with Westminster City Council to help shape the future of one of the most high-profile retail streets in the world: Oxford Street. We’ll be putting super prime, rent-free stores into the hands of the very best emerging startups and creatives; tackling the spread of low-quality candy shops, and injecting life and vibrancy back into the nation’s high street.

  • Stores will all be all based in prime Oxford Street locations, available for approximately six months each and 100% rent-free. Winning brands may be given single occupancy or invited to join a curated concept store shared between like-minded brands.

    All brands will also benefit from the following:

    • Stores fully white-boxed

    • Minimum 70% discount on business rates

    • Full support and mentoring from Someday Studios and Westminster City Council

    • Design support from expert store design partners

    • Marketing and PR support

  • We’re looking to find the very best emerging brands, entrepreneurs, creatives or inventors who can help to shape Oxford Street’s future for the better.

    Specifically, those that:

    • Are looking to launch a physical space

    • Can offer something unique to Oxford Street’s audience in terms of product, experience or concept

    • Have the potential to launch a long-term store independently after developing their brand through the project

    • Have sufficient capital to cover the project costs and to sustain the rest of their business whilst running a store for six months

    • Have sufficient resources to run a six-month store on one of the world’s busiest streets: including staff, stock, promotion and general execution

    • Care about sustainability and can demonstrate how it plays a part in their business

    This project is not intended to support established retailers who would otherwise be able to operate a store in Central London without the support of this programme.

    We’re set to launch our first concept store in Autumn, working with a design agency who have delivered stores for the likes of Fortnum and Mason, Liberty, Harrods, Selfridges, Charlotte Tilbury and Balenciaga.
